DAY 1

On a warm, cloudy morning, all the Year 3 and 4 students from ISC - Pattaya met in the shade of the sala to wait for the buses. We were all very excited and thinking about all the fun things we were going to do at Pine Resort. When we were on the bus everyone was thinking, “How long is this going to take?” Finally, when we were about half-way to Pine Resort, we stopped at McDonalds for about half an hour. Then we went back on the bus and we were all laughing because we thought we must be half-way to China all ready! On both buses, one or two people were singing, whilst others were meditating to pass the time. After 3 and a half hours, we finally got there!!! On our way in, we saw a donkey. It wasn't very big, most likely it was only one to two years old. So, we got off the buses and headed to our cabins. We got ready and went to eat lunch, which was a good thing, because we were all famished!!!

After lunch we separated into two groups and went into a field of pine trees. One group started with the balance beam, and the other went to the ladders. While the group that was on the balance beams, separated into pairs, Ms. Linden and Ms. Emma chose one pair and they got on the balance beam and held hands. Ms. Linden and Mr. Dan held behind us, to make sure we didn't fall. After that a staff member from Pine Resort explained how to do a totally new activity, it was called the Spider Web. He said, “OK, for this game, you have to climb into one of of the holes and the team which gets all the people across without touching the rope wins.” After a couple of hours of fun, we went for a lovely swim and then to our cabins and dinner.

DAY 2

We all woke up feeling marvellous and very cheerful because today way the day that everyone was waiting for...the water activities!!!!! We rushed through our breakfast so we could get to the activities as fast as possible. We quickly changed into our swimming clothes and rushed to the lake. First, we ran on the mats, but they weren't regular mats, they were mats that were on a lake. We ran to the end and if we fell we would fall in the lake, but don't worry, we were wearing life jackets. After that, some of us ran in pairs, most of us fell in the lake, but some of us managed to stay upright. After that, we went to the Sky Hawk, which was actually a zip line! It was incredible, especially when we dropped into the water at the end. Then we did the foam running, that was kind of like the mat running except it was a lot more slippery and was a lot smaller. Finally, We were going to the last activity, it was called the Sky Walker. We had to hold the ropes that were hanging from the top and there was another rope to stand on. Four kids managed to get all the way across! We were pretty weary after all those activities, so we went back to our cabins and stayed there for a while. After that some of us played tag with Mr. Dan, and some of us went swimming with Ms. Emma. Finally, we came back together and then we went to shoot some arrows at targets (archery). We each got a turn - it was really, really fun!!! After we ate, all of us went back to our rooms to bed. Some of us (although not all of us!) were exhausted.

Day 3

Finally, after a delicious breakfast (with doughnuts!) on day three, we went to rock climbing which was a lot more challenging – about half the class got to the top. But we all gave it a go and had fun! After lunch, we went to get our bags and went to the buses. Good bye, Pine Resort! Next stop; school. For those of you who are thinking of going to Pine Resort, we say you shouldn’t be excited, you should be ecstatic! We didn’t like it...WE LOVED IT!!!!!
