Why do teachers teach? We love working with children, but all children are not the same and that is what makes it great. As a parent you may question, how is my child compared to other children in their class? Although this is a fair question, childhood is not a race to see how quickly a child can read, write or count. Early Years to Primary is a small window of time to learn and develop at the pace which is right for each individual. We, as teachers and life coaches at ISC - Pattaya, want to guide learners through life as they live it. We want our future generation to know that they are all butterflies, each one is special, each one is different and each one is beautiful. We all have a passion for difference and encouraging children to be themselves in the classroom and outside of the classroom.

Throughout my career, I have enjoyed teaching the most when the class became their true selves. They spoke and acted without worrying and sometimes, this seemed a little mad, but you can see the children truly enjoying their learning journey and being confident and happy with who they are.

At ISC - Pattaya, the school captures the children’s differences and celebrates all of their successes. The classes are small and this enables the teachers to focus on each child’s different needs in the most amazing way. Being able to teach in such a relaxed environment, where each child is cherished, is one of the most rewarding parts about working at ISC. Being able to fill a child with confidence and an attitude to battle any challenge that comes their way, is part of recognising that every child is different. It is our job to remind every child that, this is more than okay.
